Waiting

We have been waiting and waiting and waiting for the five big boxes we sent by mail.
Now we finally have four of them. Everything look good so far. But we are still waiting for the last box - the one with the albums I made... I'm so worried about that box! They had to repack it on its way here - what does that mean? What if something got lost or damaged?
But on the other hand - I worried a lot about the guitars too - they are in very good conditions!
Maby tomorrow?

Just in case

We are back home! Everything went well, the kids did great and there were not to much waiting and no delays.
Friends and family waited for us as the airport and gave us a great start. Thank you!

We already miss our friends and good neighbours back in Irvine, but it's good to be with good friends here too.

One very last time

We went one very last time to the beach today. Huntington beach was beautiful and lots of dolphins showed up just to say good bye!
Wow - these animals are amazing, and they were all so close to the shore!

The kids had tremendous fun in the waves - OK - I was in too.
I'm so going to miss the warm sand between my toes and the sound of the waves hitting the sand, the sight of the dolphins and the warm wind.

But what I'm going to miss more are our very good, loving and caring friends who made this year unforgettable and good for us! You guys are wonderful! We love spending time with you! Thank you so much!

Besides packing?

Yes I know you are tired of hearing about us packing - but that's the reality - we are packing.
But ok, we are doing somtething else too!

We have met lots of our friends the last days and said good bye to many of them. Lots of tears and stuff. Not good.
But having good friends is a blessing and we will meet again!

Swimming in the pool has been an almost daily activity. There isn't much to do at home with everything packed, so swimming is a good reacreation for all of us.
All three of the kids are very confident in the water.

We spent our vacations in the wild west, and our kids fit in very well:

But they behaved well and took care of the Indians, so they were set free :)

As I've already told you, we went to San Diego Sunday. We went to see the USS Midway - an aircraft carrier for the US Navy that ended up as a museum. Definitely the boys' cup of tea!
They asked the volunteering old marines about everything!

Here in Irvine we try to have a life besides packing. We are in the pool, seeing friends and so forth. Today we went to the beach once hubby came home.

The last trip

Today we had our last trip with the Toyota Sienna. It took us safely to San Diego and home. Tomorrow morning we are no longer the owner of this car. Another family has bought it, and this kind of marks the end of our stay here.
The car itself isn't the worse, but knowing our time here is almost up, is upsetting me a bit.

Sometimes I try to be a strict mom. My kids are very energetic and it's kind of hard keeping them and their wonderful voices on a decent level.
The way they are running around chasing each other and making an extreme noice, is what triggers my anger.
Well, I put them in a TO, and they are making funny faces I just can't resist. I burst out in laughter and the whole time out is spoiled.
I feel so powerless against these hilarious children. They know the exact way to make me fail, and use it for all it's worth.

But then, when I tuck them in for night and they say their prayers, it's all worth it!
"Thank you Jesus for a good day, and for all the fun we had with mom today!"
These adorable kids are such a blessing!
