Big life saving surgery

My "grand daughter", Elise, was in a really bad condition. She had no more organs functioning.
Hubby is a brilliant surgeon, so he opened her with a steady hand and fixed her organs.
While she was recovering she also had a bath and is now in a better condition than ever.

My daugther was quite worried about her baby, but she stayed calm.
The baby's uncles, however, wondered if the surgeon could turn the baby into a battle droid...

Summer party

The boys were invited to their teacher's house to a summer party today.
What a blast! To see her place, to have fun with all their class mates and to swim in her pool.

Before they could all go in,  they needed some instructions. What part of the pool was to deep for the ones that can't swim, no running on the concrete, no pushing and so on.

It was great fun diving from the diving rock. But hello - stretch out!

Pools in the area

The thought of everyone having admission to at least one pool was very strange to me before I came here.
After living here for a while it becomes normal. The questions usually are Where do we go? Whoes pool are we using this week?
Fridays we often bring some friends home or go to some friends place. We've been swimming in lots of the pools around here.
But we do have a few favorites. Deep pools with diving boards or the beautiful Woodbridge lakes are among them.

Yesterday it was father's day here. We went to see one of the boys' friend and his family - and their pool ;-)   - one of the Woodbridge pools!

These days are so busy!

I never get to come home between taking the kids to schools around the area and picking them up again.
There are som plays here and some volunteering there every day.
But it is funny too! :)

My little daughter is so cute

Yesterday hubby came home and told me that Princess thought he was 45 years old. (I was a little surprised, because I really thought she knew his age.) I asked her whether she thinks he looks old or young, and she answered:
"He looks pretty old - just like Grandpa!"

I couldn't help laughing. My 37 year old love isn't that old looking!

I promised you some proofs

Some proofs of some of my projects the I've been working on lately.

Here are the sweaters I knitted for the kids. I know they look uneven in front - it's just the way thay are wearing them.
They still need a couple of buttons, but the kiddoes are so happy to have these Jedi-costumes!
of course I never thought of tem as Jedi costumes, but for big Star Wars fans, everything can turn out to be Star Wars equipment.

Such a beautiful place to live and love.

Yet another beautiful day in Irvine!
Around us in our neighbourhood there are so many awesome flowers.
Some of hese are not the best shots but I just have to show you what we are surrounded by.

Trying my best

I really am trying my best to keep all the balls in the air at one time. But it's hard.
Knitting 3 sweaters is one project. Making photo books is another. I also have a lot of recordings from all the happenings we've had this year, and I sure want them edited.
The next week some of our friends are leaving for a vacation in Norway. The are bringing some of our bagage. That means I have to pack.

In a couple of days I hope I can show you some of my work.
At least I'll try to find the picture of the two pair of mittens I finished some two weeks ago.
Found it!

It's been one of the furlough days

And what do we do?
I took the boys for a bike ride all the way down to the post office and back. Then we did a couple of loops before we went home for lunch.
After lunch we biked again and this time to the tennis court. We played for a while before we headed into the water.
Three different sports in one day! That's awesome!

They are so cute

Well, at least when they play nicely together all the three of them :)
And today they did for a very long time.
Climbing their favorite tree, picking some beautiful flowers and running around in the gras.

Basket Raffle night

A really good idea.
All the classes were making baskets by making the kids bring in different items.
Our class brought Beanie bears.
Other classes brought tea and coffee, beach fun stuff, board games an so forth.
I think there were about 20 baskets in all. And we got to buy tickets and we could decide witch basket we wanted to try to win.

The kids were thrilled and excited during the whole night. Unfortunately none of them won anything. But we had a whale of a time anyway. And our little daughter learned a lesson about winning and not winning...

Chosing is hard.. witch ones to go for?

Here the boys and a couple of friends are waiting for the winners to be drawn.

Our little princess is also waiting :)

Wild Animal Park

We did it again!
This morning we loaded the car full of stuff and people (seven in all) and hit the road.
San Diego or more precise Wild Animal Park was the destination.
We do not really need to go to a park to find and admire wild animals - we allready have them at home ;-)
But off we went and the animals in the park didn't let us down today either.
Amazing as always.

Here are a handfull of pictures from today.

This one is my favorite:
