Lazy

I'm a bit lazy today, but I'll give you a couple of more pics from our Easter break.
Egghunt. Lots of clues were spred all over the place waiting for the kids to find them. They did a great job and finally found the egg that were hidden by "the Easter bunny".

The next day we went crab fishing. The catch was good - about 15 little crabs that was caught just for fun an let out into the water after having them in a bucket of water for a while.
The kids really enjoyed using the slimy mussels as bait on their lines. But they didn't want to touch the crabs - they used the landing net to take the crabs from the line to the pail.

Later that day we went hiking. Sunny, warm and beautiful. What a blast!

A couple of photos from Easterbreak so far

We started off in Fredrikstad with my parents last weekend. In the old town there is a quite big model train and railway center. It was amazing to see all the little details and all the railway tracks. The kids were bouncing off the wall of happiness and joy to se and try all this.

After admiring the trains for a while, we get hungry and find something to eat before we go for a walk in the old town among canons and buildings from the fortress.

Another wonderful mornig arrives, and we choose to go to "Mærrapanna" nearby the ocean. Here are lots of rocks for climbing and shells and other stuff that came in with the ocean.

And finally we could go see my sisters dogs and puppies. Four little beautiful creatures. The kids were almost eating them all up. All the seven of them seemed to like each other. The two grown dogs were both exhausted at the end of our stay - they had to run and play a lot.

Babysitting

Three adorable, smiling babies in two days - and not even one sigle picture taken! What was I thinking? Or maybe that's the reason - I wasn't thinking. My head is full of ideas for shots i should have taken.
Maybe I have to sit again shortly :D

Cross-country skiing on a bright sunny day

Could this possibly be the very last time we go skiing this winter?
46-48 degrees fahrenheit (8-9 C) is quite warm for the shade. The sun was warm as on an average summer day.

In our backpack was ingredients for a campfire and pizzas(calzones).
7.5 miles (12km) of nice tracks layed before us. It was ment to be good. And it sure was.
But yes, I am afraid this was the last skiing this winter. The snow is melting, days are getting warmer and spring is knocking on the door. I don't know if I'm ready yet. I love this part of the winter so much. Days are longer and brighter, it's not too cold and it just makes me feel good.

Emptying a can of corn while waiting for the pizza to bake.

Fresh baked pizza from the campfire.

To keep alive a Californian tradition, we made frozen bananas when we came home. It's hilarious to se how much the kids love the chocolate covered bananas! But of course I forgot to capture the moment on film :(
